Gerard has always loved to travel which is probably why he joined the Merchant Marines. As a child of a Colonel in the Indian Army, posted at various locales throughout the country, he traveled around a lot. So being on the road became something he grew to love.
Gerard’s love for travel and his chosen vocation did nonetheless give him the opportunity to see some of the many wonders of the modern world from the Fatima in Portugal, to the Statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, the Great Wall of China, Statue of Liberty in New York, Pyramids & Sphinx in Cairo and the Taj Mahal in Agra.
Gerard has always been an active person, participating in volleyball tournaments in his neighborhood and driving all over the country whenever he can. You might say his heart lies on the open road and the adventure in meeting like-minded people.
Aside from his wife and daughter, Gerard’s third love is his BMW F650 Motorcycle. He often decides to take off with his biker buddies and hit the open road for a day trip to the mountains or a few days along the highways and byways of the country. He even enjoys driving and has done cross-country trips from Mumbai to Nainital-Uttarakhand and back in his XUV500. He has an undeniable passion for cars and bikes so you’ll often find him at Car & Bike shows around the city.
An avid cross-country motorist/ biker requires one to be physically ready for the challenge. In his opinion, staying fit doesn’t require a special routine, just good food and staying active. For Gerard, a simple workout and a regularly brisk walk is a great way to stay fit.
Gerard is a great example of someone who follows his dreams and lives nonstop. His advice is that knowing oneself and being unabashedly authentic is very important in one’s journey through life.
